Apple Cinnamon Donut Pops

It may be July outside but my kitchen smells like October! I was craving these classic flavors and happened to see the donut pop machine in my cabinet and thought, why not? The recipe is super simple and comes together quickly. Get the kids in the kitchen baking with you and helping you make these little lovelies...but watch out because they disappear quickly.

I love this little donut pop machine because it is small to store and being electric I don't have to fry up the donut pops and make a mess on the stove. Enjoy!

These are yummy apple cinnamon bombs in your mouth.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup tapioca flour
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup applesauce, unsweetened
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Sugar Mix
  • 1/4 cup maple sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Mix flours, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. Mix eggs, oil, apple sauce, honey, and vanilla in a small bowl.
  3. Pour liquid mix into the dry mix and stir until combined. Let sit for 1-2 minutes to firm up.
  4. Put a drop of oil in each donut pop reservoir and turn on to heat up. When machine is hot spoon about 1 ½ tsp of batter into each reservoir and close the lid. Let cook for 4-5 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Immediately roll each donut pop in the sugar mix. The sugar will stick better when warm. Enjoy
