Let’s chat about Dysautonomia
Have you heard of this condition? Our bodies have different types of nervous systems. A nervous system basically is our body’s communication powerhouse. The Central Nervous System (CNS) is when our brain messages and controls our body. Our Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) is made up of our Somatic and Autonomic Nervous Systems.
Dysautonomia is a group of different conditions within the Autonomic Nervous System. Even if you haven’t heard of this you wouldn't be here right now without it. It includes your breathing, heartbeat, digestion, body temperature, hormone function, and blood pressure. This occurs when our nervous system can’t function correctly and send the right messages throughout our body.
Symptoms of dysautonomia:
Shortness of breath
Brain fog
Chest pain
Mood imbalance
Fatigue
Difficulty sleeping
Low blood sugar
Headaches
Nausea/vomiting
Exercise intolerance
Dizziness
When you are diagnosed with Dysautonomia that means some part of your Autonomic Nervous System is out of balance and not functioning optimally. This can present as loss of bladder control, breathing issues, sexual function problems.
