Where to go: Manoa Chocolate, Kailua, Oahu

As you spend time on my blog and/or following me on social media you will quickly figure out that I'm a chocoholic. I LOVE chocolate. I firmly believe it should be in a food group of its own, it is vital to a happy healthy life. Luckily there is the most amazing local chocolate store in my little town. The service is amazing, the product is phenomenal and there always seems to be a new variety to sample.

Their chocolate is local, single origin, grown in Hawaii, non-GMO, gluten-free, soy-free and vegan. Could you ask for more.

I have tried several different bars but if I could only select one it would be the 72% Hawaiian Sea Salt. I like that hint of salt at the end. I use it as my standard baking chocolate for most any recipe.

As a treat I might enjoy a bite of the Haupia (coconut) chocolate, it is 60% dark vegan milk chocolate. Another favorite is the Mililani 70% Oahu Island bar. https://manoachocolate.com

Manoa sells other products besides bars. I use the cacao nibs on smoothie bowls or in granola. I haven't tried the chocolate tea yet...mostly because I'm afraid if I do I may not have control to stop! I mean really chocolate and tea - what a combination. The chocolate macadamia spread is glorious! Dangerous but oh so yummy on almond milk ice cream.
