Nourish Your Body with Food

Food is the foundation of great health. We have to eat to live. But what we choose to eat will drastically alter how well we live. I love to cook and bake. I enjoy reading cookbooks and watching cooking shows. It is my creative outlet.

In 2016 I was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. I had never heard of that or of an autoimmune disease. Come to find out I had two autoimmune diseases. I researched ways to heal from autoimmune disease naturally and came across the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP). This was an entirely new idea, to eat anti-inflammatory foods that are nutrient dense. So, being a lover of cooking I dove in. At first my recipes were very simple. It took time to learn what I could and couldn't eat, what my bio-individuality needed. Luckily, I had been eating mostly organic and Non-GMO for many years already. I firmly believe that the quality of the food we eat is as important as what foods we eat. 

Since then we have moved twice, the last time in 2018 back to Hawaii. I have remodeled two kitchens from the studs since 2016 and managed to cook quality meals for my family. I strive for quality ingredients and nutrient density. If I have one life to live I want it not only to be long, but I want it to be healthy! You can regain your health with different food choices, you can loose weight, sleep better, have clearer skin, and more energy. I know, I've been there and I am not the same person today I was five years ago. Thank God.
